Hacking My Education

Well its been over three weeks since my last post, so hello everyone and I hope you had a great holiday season.

In order to make complicated things easier to understand, we divide up its composition into little bits and pieces we can understand. We "hack" the material we learn to make it work for us. By doing so we gain so much more than a skill or knowledge.

Much like how a computer hacker decodes systems enabling him to control it, a student can hack a curriculum in order to make the information teach you. It works for you by making the information more attainable.

One example for hacking education, is controlling it. Do what you want with the time and resources you have, and integrate it into the curriculum. Keep in mind the things you need to learn, but relate to something else in your life. Instead of an abstract idea, it is now more understandable than you first thought. You can link any curriculum to something in real life. Hijack your learning style and make it your own. Know how you learn best and use it to your advantage.
