Welcome to the Interdisciplinary

Everything has its certain degree of disciplines, for sports it could be staying motivated, for a police officer keeping a cool head, and for Civil Engineers, a whole host of disciplines. Most of the work is done in an indoor office environment with the occasional visits to job sites. Being stuck in an office for most the day with people you might not even like, this takes people skills and learning to work with a team. It is tedious work, having to make sure every minute detail is in order because one mistake can create massive problems financially and the endangering of lives later on. It is rewarding because you get to see your creations come to life; from idea to object. You also but teach yourself to never give up, there is a solution to every problem, it's just a matter of finding it. Thats the beauty of this field; that everything is based upon simple fundamentals so it pays to have a good base of the simple things. The most important discipline of all, is to love what you do and do what is right. If you genuinely enjoy what you do, the success will come along in the pursuit of being the best you can be.
